HOPE IS GROWING

An underwater AR experience like no other…

Experience first-hand the transformation of the coral reef as you use the pioneering Reef Star technology to transform a desolated bed of coral rubble into a vibrant and spectacular reef teeming with life.

In 2019, work began on the SHEBA®/ DINE® Hope Reef in Salisi’ Besar, just off the coast of Sulawesi, Indonesia. It’s an integral part of what will become the world’s largest coral restoration program, which aims to regenerate the entire reef platform and over the next 10 years, plant 185,000 square meters of coral by 2029— the size of 148 Olympic Swimming Pools. This builds on the great work the Mars coral restoration program has done since 2008 working with coastal communities around the world.

The first stage in the restoration of the new reef has been carefully built to spell out the word ‘HOPE’, telling the world that, despite the odds, hope grows in these waters. As the reef grows and develops, these letters will be filled in to restore the whole of Salisi’ Besar.

This AR experience is designed specifically for devices with LiDAR technology to bring this amazing story of hope into your home (currently available on iPhone 12 Pro and iPad 12 Pro (4th Gen).
